These knives are great set for my sister who moved to her first apartment after college. They have been working extraordinarily well and only require a bit of the normal maintenance that all knives need. Personally, she has found that she would have preferred a straight-edged chef’s knife, but the serrated one still works wonderfully. It may need replacement with extensive use for it is perfectly cheap enough for students or recent graduate. I would recommend hand washing which easy enough to do and dry off knives with dry kitchen towel for long lasting shine and upkeep.
